Updated: September 2026

CBSE has issued prior intimation regarding submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for Class X and XII examinations for 2026–27. The LOC is an important examination-registration record maintained through the school’s CBSE process.
What is the LOC?
The List of Candidates contains key information used in the examination process. Errors in candidate details can create avoidable problems later.
Details schools should verify
- Student name and spelling
- Date of birth
- Parent or guardian details
- Subjects and subject codes
- Category and applicable concessions
- Photograph and other required records
Why should parents care?
Students can discover registration errors only when admit cards or result documents are issued. Schools therefore need a careful verification process, and parents should respond promptly when the school asks them to confirm information.
Best practice
Keep a copy of the information submitted to the school and compare it with official records. For deadlines and submission requirements, use the current CBSE circular rather than an old blog post.
